Judy and Mary's fourth album tried on a harder sound, though not exactly returning to their punk roots.
As the album progresses, in fact, the band turns their attention to pop -- which they do very well, of course -- and a mixture of country and camp.
This album also marked the passing of the songwriting duties from Yoshihito Onda to guitarist Takuya, who comes up with some winning melodies in the peppy "Birthday Song" and "Sobakasu," one of the album's singles that also became the theme song to an anime.
"Lovely Baby" is pure '70s punk colored pink.
Considered by many fans to be the pinnacle of the band's style.
