Having nearly scrubbed their sound clean of its nu-metal roots, Nonpoint emerge as a full-fledged modern hard rock band on their eighth album, The Return.
Though the Florida band have tried their damndest to get with the times, their rap-metal leanings sometimes slip into their sound like an old accent, hinting at their early career without pointing directly at it.
Fans of the band's eponymous 2012 album will find more of the same here, but lapsed listeners looking to catch up with the band will be pretty surprised at what they find.
