This is an improvement on the similarly titled The Best of Phoebe Snow, from the early 1980s, in that it has virtually everything from the earlier anthology, but has sixteen songs, where the previous compilation has but ten.
The emphasis is still on her mid-to-late-1970s work with Columbia, though it does include some tracks from other labels and eras, most importantly the mid-1970s hit "Poetry Man." As a token representation, there's a cut from a 1989 album and a live 1991 performance from another.
There are also previously unreleased live performances of "Harpo's Blues" and Sam Cooke's "Good Times" (here rather misleadingly titled "Let the Good Times Roll") from 1977 at Carnegie Hall.
