Boy oh boy, you expect grindcore bands to offer lightning-fast tempos, but Antigama's 2009 release, Warning, is ridiculous! Hailing from Poland, these extreme metallists crank the metronome as far as it can possibly go on the non-stop onslaught of an album opener "Disconnected" and continue to let things rip on such breakneck ditties as "War," "Heart," and "You Have the Right to Remain Violent," among others.
But unlike most other grindcore acts that don't stray too far from the stylistic path, the Antigama fellows aren't afraid to get a bit artsy fartsy at times, as evidenced by the soundscape "Sequenzia Dellamore" and the schizoid jazz exploration "Paganini Meets Barbapapex." Throughout Warning, Antigama certainly succeeds in keeping the listener on their toes throughout.
